The group had paid a visit to the Communion Office of LWF in Geneva, and after two days in Strasbourg they continued their journey travelling to Taiz\u00e9. <!--more-->Prof. Theodor Dieter offered two lectures on the ecumenical work of the LWF in which the Institute has been involved for more than 50 years: the Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification, the reconciliation with the Mennonites, the commemoration of 500 years of the Reformation (\u201cFrom Conflict to Communion\u201d) with the ecumenical prayer service in the Cathedral of Lund (Sweden) with Pope Francis and the leaders of the Lutheran World Federation on October 31, 2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">Here is the feedback from Prof. Frambach to Prof. Dieter: <em>\u201cOn behalf of our entire J-term group from Wartburg Seminary, I wish to thank you once again for your gracious hospitality and warm kindness during our visit to Strasbourg and the Institute. It was a day of profound learning for all of us, and the students were so very impressed with the breadth and depth of your knowledge and your passionate commitment to the work of ecumenism, unity, and peace. And I must say, the personal tour of the magnificent Strasbourg cathedral was brilliant and above and beyond the call of your hospitality.
