The Institute for Ecumenical Research participated in the Council of the Lutheran World Federation in Geneva from 12 to 18 June 2019.On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Jennifer Wasmuth and Prof. Dr. Stefan Dienstbeck accompanied the conference until Sunday June 16 as guests. In particular, the new organizational structure of the Lutheran World Federation and the location of ecumenism directly under the Secretary General was of great importance from an institutional perspective. Apart from being able to present the initiatives and work of the Institute, the personal conversations and suggestions as well as the social interaction on the sidelines of the official events were motivation for further work at the Institute as well as a personal delight. The Institute in Strasbourg is encouraged to continue accompanying and shaping the path of the LWF in ecumenism.
