The Institute for Ecumenical Research in Strasbourg hosted a gathering of the German Ecumenical Studies Committee from February 6 to 8, 2019.

On January 11, a group of 12 students from Wartburg Theological Seminary (Iowa) visited the Institute under the leadership of Prof. Nathan Frambach. The group had paid a visit to the Communion Office of LWF in Geneva, and after two days in Strasbourg they continued their journey travelling to Taizé.

From May to July 2018 I had the opportunity to do an internship at the Institute for Ecumenical Research, following my year of study at the Protestant Faculty at the University of Strasbourg.

Obituary by André Birmelé  The worldwide ecumenical movement lost in Harding Meyer’s death on the first of December this year one of its most important figures. Meyer was an ecumenical visionary and a pioneer. Many of the developments in global bilateral relationships can be traced back to him. We have much to thank him for.

A group of students from the theological faculty of Berlin’s Humboldt University visited the Institute in the context of an excusion to Strasbourg in May 2018. The excursion took place under the leadership of Dr. Andrea Hofmann, dedicated to the theme of “The Reformation in Strasbourg“.
