On the occasion of the seventieth birthday of André Birmelé, the Revue d’Histoire et de Philosophie Religieuses—the journal of the Faculty of Protestant Theology at the University of Strasbourg, of which Birmelé was Dean from 2001 to 2006 and where he taught until 2014—has dedicated in issue in his honor.
This issue collects both French and German contributions around the theme “What Is Truth?” Authors include not only specialists in systematic theology and ecumenism like Birmelé himself, but also biblical exegetes, historians, philosophers, and pastoral theologians. (Additional articles around this theme will appear in a future issue.) The nine essays in the current issue are accompanied by a complete bibliography of Birmelé’s writings, which bear witness to the international reception of his many and important works.
This issue of more than 200 pages may be specially ordered from the Classiques Garnier publishing house in Paris: Flyer-RHPR
