Studying Luther in Wittenberg 2020 „Zoominar“

2020 would have marked the twelfth seminar co-taught by the Institute’s Profs. Theodor Dieter (Strasbourg) and Sarah Hinlicky Wilson (Tokyo) in Wittenberg, a full-immersion experience for participants from around the world. Just as with so many other live events, this one had to be postponed due to the covid-19 pandemic.

The Harding Meyer Prize in Ecumenism 2020 Awarded to Three Winners

Harding Meyer, a leading figure in the ecumenical movement of the past fifty years, passed away in December 2018. He had a decisive influence on the international Lutheran-Catholic dialogue, and many methodological approaches of contemporary ecumenism can be traced back to him, such as reconciled diversity, differentiating consensus, and so on.

“MORE Conference” in Augsburg, 3–6 January 2020

After 2018, the “MORE conference” took place again in Augsburg under the title “Colors of Hope.” The conference, which was held on the premises of the Augsburg Fair, was organized by the Augsburg Prayer House, for which Dr. Johannes Hartl is largely responsible.
